Meteorologist Linda Gialanella joined the ABC Action News staff full time in early 2003, but she is no stranger to Bay area weather, having forecasted and anchored at two other television stations in the Tampa/St. Petersburg area.
Prior to that, Linda spent time with ABC in New York, where she was a regular on ABC World News and occasionally filled in on Good Morning America.
She has also worked as a meteorologist and anchor at WABC-TV and WNEW-TV in New York City and KYW-TV in Philadelphia.
An Emmy winner for individual achievement, Linda has earned a seal of approval from the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association. She received her post-baccalaureate degree in earth science/meteorology from Kean University, and holds a certificate in broadcast meteorology from Mississippi State.
You can catch Linda's forecast on the weekends on ABC Action News. During the week, she is out in the community, checking on the weather for all the interesting events taking place around the Bay area.
Linda is also a professional artist, and is a member of the National Cartoonist Society. She enjoys creating colorful drawings, like the one below.
